We're in full swing with a huge slate of events, fundraisers and
programs in our war on HIV/AIDS. We know that this year presents a
challenge to many non-profits with the election and a soft-economy. But
the needs of the community are still there and we are working extra hard
to make some significant impact on HIV in Long Beach and the South Bay.

The
Red Ribbon Affair - Post Walk Awards
It's nearly 45 days after The Walk and we have completed
tabulating the results of the Top Fundraisers in each category!
The Red Ribbon Affair is a fun, light evening where we hand out
awards to the top fundraisers and the checks to the agencies that
stop HIV/AIDS that you worked hard to raise. Learn exactly how
your funds are going to be used, how they will account for it and
the outcomes they expect from the grant funding.
Cocktails start at 6:30PM (no host) and Dinner is served at
7:00PM.The dinner value alone is $35.00 each and always delicious.
Though it is on a weeknight, it is a short program and we'll get
you out early!
Best of all, help us celebrate those who raised a lot of funds for
all of the South County area.

are infected!
Our newest HIV PSA awareness campaign produced by the Long
Beach AIDS Foundation
with a grant from Cable Positive and Charter
Communications.
ALEF
The AIDS Life
Emergency Fund is a new collaborative program in
partnership with The AIDS Food Store of Long Beach to provide a
stop-gap measure for those in dire need of basic life assistance.
ALEF
is a simple and compassionate program designed to provide for
emergency assistance for those with AIDS who meet the county
guidelines for assistance but have to choose between paying for
medication, basic needs, food and the basic comforts of living.
This new collaboration program will be
available in the next few months to assist those with AIDS in need
of a 'stop-gap" assistance
