AIDS Life Emergency Fund
Long Beach AIDS Foundation
(LBAF) serves as a social change agent inspiring and empowering
collaborative HIV/AIDS service organizations (ASO's) to embrace new
strategic paradigms, motivate existing infrastructures and enhance
organizational leadership with the ultimate aim to end the spread of
HIV/AIDS.
ALEF is a new collaborative program in partnership
with The AIDS Food Store of Long Beach to provide a stop-gap measure
for those in dire need of basic life assistance. ALEF is a
simple and compassionate program designed to provide for emergency
assistance for those with AIDS who meet the county guidelines for
assistance but have to choose between paying for medication, basic
needs, food and the basic comforts of living.
This new collaboration program will be available in
the next few months to assist those with AIDS in need of a
'stop-gap" assistance. More information will be available in
October
